Baked Oatmeal
We both like to cook quite a bit, as well as to photograph some of our creations. Last night I made some baked oatmeal, and Ben snapped away.I used to make baked oatmeal quite a bit when I was a student, but for some reason I hadn't in ages. I've been wanting to get back to making this splendid dish, so at my husband's request I pulled out my baking ingredients and utensils and made him some to take on his camping trip this weekend.
This time I added a twist, or to be more specific I added some frozen cranberries. It was not a bad addition, but for future reference I would recommend cutting the cranberries into small chunks or pieces. The batter looks very pretty with red balls floating amid the flakes, but upon getting a taste of the cooked berry it can be a bit strong.
Exciting things ahead...and a little scary, too!
Well, friends, here we are. Sarah and I have purchased enough basic equipment to shoot real events, we've done our first real portrait shots (albeit freebies for our friends), have a brand spanking-new website, got our blog in order, ordered business cards, put together some prices and packages for events, and shot well over a combined 5,000 pictures in the last two months. We are ready to begin. All we need now is to get our first paying gig and the continued moral and emotional (and financial, certainly! :D) of our family and friends, both old and new and above all the Grace and Goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you would like the excitement, nay the pleasure, nay THE DISTINCT HONOR of being our first paying customers for any event, small or large, please, let us know. You could talk to us directly, call me (617) 595-8412, email us at sabenphoto@gmail.com, or leave a request on our Calendar page on our website: www.sabenphotography.net.
We can't wait to SHOOT YOU....wait. Let me try again. This is better: We can't wait to CAPTURE the rare beauty of your precious moments as a couple, or the endearing joy of your children, or exciting moments of your time of graduation!

Photo Session with Nathan and Emily
We recently photographed a fun couple in a park up on N. Lake Shore Drive. It's a great spot along the shore with the Waveland Clock Tower as a prominent landmark. One of the best parts of this photoshoot was seeing the love captured in still form. It is one thing to have a shot of a couple, but it is another to capture one of those "looks" that expresses the feelings of one's heart.Introduction
